Cash Money Records Has Sold 500 Million Singles Worldwide
Cash Money Records has reached a huge milestone as a collective record label.
Even with YMCMB taking over the hip hop game, there’s still room for celebration.
In a press release, Cash Money revealed they’ve officially sold more than 500 million singles worldwide.
With a roster like Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj, and Drake, all of which are no stranger to platinum albums, it’s hard to think they wouldn’t have hit this milestone.
Slim wants everyone to know they’re not slowing down and Birdman said he’s proud of the accomplishment.
“There is no more dynamic and prolific a label than Cash Money Records and the YMCMB family – point blank.
We’re proud of every one of our artists and their contribution to our legacy.
What’s most humbling is the global reaction to our story.
Slim and I built this label from the ground up and seeing our brand connect with people across borders, culture and language makes us appreciate every one of our fans worldwide.
We can’t wait to deliver another 500 million bangers Success is something that Slim and I have always aimed for.
It feels great to sell 500 million songs but fans should know, we aren’t going to stop now, and will continue our legacy.”
We must not forget Cash Money was around before Nicki or Drake came on board.
They were founded in 1991, and we’re sure former artists, as well as their current roster, contributed to this success as well.
